07 Oct The Competition Winner!

Well it took me a lot longer than I expected, but I have finally come up with a winner for the Infected! competition.

In case you’re not familiar with what I’m talking about, I posted up a competition during the Kickstarter for Infected Zombie RPG, saying that anyone could make an entry of up to 3000 words. It could be a new piece, or a pre-existing one, and we would judge the entries on their style and of course on their vision for the post-zombocalypse. The winner gets paid at professional rates to put a piece into the final book (it could be their entry, or a new piece, depending on what’s needed).

The reason I made the competition was, in fact, to give someone out there the opportunity to be in a book, and hopefully help them get on their way to a gaming/writing career. Who knows? All I know is that it can be pretty hard to get your stuff out there, so I want to help in whatever way I can.

Despite the fact that the competition was a last minute decision, I had a good bunch of entries…and then it was really, really tough to work out the winner! There were a bunch of them that myself and my assistant judges liked, and didn’t want to part with. In the end though, we only had the space in the book for the one entry.

And the winner is…

CALEB HARRIS!

Congratulations mate!!

To all others who entered, thank you so much for being a part of this project. We really appreciate your creativity and your passion. I wish we had enough space to publish you all 🙂

And remember – keep on writing!
